GLASSJAW Singer Rushed To Hospital, European Tour Cancelled

December 5, 2002

GLASSJAW vocalist Daryl Palumbo was rushed to a London, England hospital today (Dec. 5) after suffering a relapse of recurring Crohn's Disease, according to NME.com.

The band have been forced to cancel their British tour as they wait for their frontman to recover. Other European dates — in Germany, France and Italy — will also be cancelled.

Palumbo was hospitalized this afternoon just as he and the rest of the band stepped off a flight from the U.S. His condition is unknown at present.

Although it is uncomfortable, recurring and debilitating, Crohn's disease — which attacks the sufferers digestive system — is not life threatening.

This month's dates were a replacement for cancellations in October, also caused by Palumbo's illness. It is unknown whether or not they will be rescheduled.
